In 2014, the ACLU challenged an anti-abortion law with June Ayers who owns and directs the only abortion clinic in Montgomery, Alabama. In this continual fight for access, the ACLU awarded Ayers their highest honor—the Roger N. Baldwin Medal of Liberty—for her work providing reproductive health services.
